 TAKEHISA KANAZAWA AS NEW PRESIDENT OF BROTHER (CANADA)
 SOMERSET, N.J., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Hiromi Gunji, in his role as chairman, president and CEO of Brother International Corporation, headquartered in Somerset, today announced that Takehisa Kanazawa will replace Hal Kalker when he retires as President of Brother International Corporation (Canada) Ltd. on Oct. 1, 1992.
 Mr. Gunji, who is also chairman of Brother International Corporation (Canada) Ltd., stated, "A change in management is always difficult, and following in Mr. Kalker's footsteps is no easy task, but we have great faith in Mr. Kanazawa's abilities."
 Mr. Kanazawa joined Brother International Corporation (Japan) in April of 1967, upon graduation from the University of Isaka Prefecture where he majored in economics. In 1983, he was promoted to Assistant Manager and received a promotion to Manager while temporarily transferred to the Business Machine Division of Brother Industries, Ltd. (Japan) 1985 through 1987. Mr. Kanazawa became a senior manager in 1989 and became deeply involved in management of Brother International Corporation (Canada) Ltd., as a representative of Brother (Japan) in 1990. Last October (1991), Mr. Kanazawa was appointed as a member of the board of directors, and executive vice president, of Brother International Corporation (Canada) Ltd.
 Brother International Corporation (Canada) Ltd., with its headquarters and a distribution center in Montreal also has a distribution center in Vancouver, and presently has over 70 employees and sales representatives across Canada. Brother markets home sewing machines, knitting machines, office and personal use typewriters, word processors and computer printers, fax, electronic labeling machines and color copiers through a Canadian-wide network of distributors and dealers.
 Brother is America's largest manufacturer of personal electronic typewriters and personal word processors, and distributes a full line of automated office, industrial and home electronics products. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Somerset, Brother has operations in California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Texas.
