 BROTHER INDUSTRIES (U.S.A.), INC. NAMES SAM MATSUMOTO PRESIDENT
 SOMERSET, N.J., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- In his role as chairman, president and CEO of Brother International Corporation (BIC), Hiromi Gunji today announced that Sam Matsumoto will assume the presidency of Brother Industries (U.S.A.), Inc., effective Oct. 1, 1992.
 Mr. Gunji, who is also chairman of Brother Industries (U.S.A.), Inc., stated, "It has been my great pleasure to have Mr. Matsumoto serve as a senior vice president at BIC, where over the years he had responsibility for the Office Equipment Division (OED), PDPM, National Service, National Operations, and National Parts. It is an even greater pleasure to announce that Mr. Matsumoto will assume the mantle of president at our typewriter and word processor manufacturing facility in Bartlett, Tenn."
 Immediately upon graduation from National Tokushima University (1967) with a bachelor of engineering degree, Mr. Matsumoto joined Brother in Japan, where he worked for the business machine division. Mr. Matsumoto founded Brother Australia in 1977, and was director and chief operating officer. In 1984, he brought his experience and expertise to Brother in New Jersey.
 A father of two boys, Mr. Matsumoto and his wife Yuko will reside in Bartlett.
 Brother Industries (U.S.A.), Inc., located in Bartlett, Tenn., is America's largest manufacturer of personal electronic typewriters and personal word processors. Brother International Corporation, with corporate headquarters in Somerset, N.J., distributes a full line of automated office, industrial and home electronic products.
