BROCK CONTROL SYSTEMS CLIMBS EIGHT NOTCHES IN 1992 FAST TECH 50
ATLANTA, May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Brock Control Systems, Inc., an Atlanta-based computer software company, has climbed eight notches in Atlanta's 1992 Fast Tech 50.
Brock has risen consistently in rank for the last four years since joining the prestigious list in 1989.
This is the ninth year Arthur Andersen & Co. has compiled a list of Atlanta's largest high-tech businesses in cooperation with the Advanced Technology Center (ATDC) at Georgia Tech and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The Fast Tech 50 ranking is based on 1991 revenues and employment figures. To qualify, a company must be involved with the research, development, manufacturing and sales of its own products and services. Fifty percent of company revenues must be derived from a proprietary high technology product or service and the company must be headquartered in the 18-county Atlanta metro area.
According to recent studies conducted by the Market Intelligence Research Corporation (MIRC), sales force automation revenues will skyrocket from $415 million in 1992 to more than $2.5 billion in 1997. "Although 1991 was a recessionary year, it was one of our most profitable," said Brock's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Richard T. Brock. "Our success stems from the basic fact that our product enhances and increases end-user productivity and profits."
The Activity Manager Series(TM) is a system solution to automate and support the areas of database marketing, telemarketing, sales account management, marketing information -- in effect, a company's complete business cycle. The product is a mission-critical business application offering a competitive edge to companies understanding the strategic value of an automated, integrated business environment.
Brock's cross-industry client base of more than 700 customers and 10,000 individual users, represents the largest installed base of multi-user systems in the industry. The company provides an integrated family of software products offering "closed-loop" information management for sales, marketing and customer service in more than 15 different countries using seven different languages. Headquartered in Atlanta, Brock has offices in Los Angeles and affiliate offices in Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland and Sweden.
