BROADCASTING PARTNERS INC. TO ACQUIRE WYNY-FM

NEW YORK, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Perry J. Lewis, chairman, and Lee S. Simonson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Broadcasting Partners Inc. ("BPI"), announced today the acquisition of WYNY-FM, New York, subject to the approval of the FCC and certain other conditions. According to Simonson, "As New York's only country station, WYNY is superbly positioned. We are looking forward to working with WYNY's excellent staff in continuing to develop and build WYNY's very successful country format."
The purchase of the station will be financed in part through an equity investment by MLGA Fund II, L.P., a management buyout fund which is managed by an affiliate of Morgan Lewis Githens & Ahn Inc. ("MLGA").
