BROADCAST DOCUMENTS FROM YOUR DESKTOP TO THOUSANDS INSTANTLY

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) and PSI Integration Inc. today announced a new service that allows Macintosh computers equipped with PSI Integration modems to fax documents to thousands of locations within minutes.
FAXcilitate 1.5, which includes a broadcast feature, enables a Macintosh user with a PSI modem to click on the "broadcast" icon and deliver a document and the list of destination fax numbers to the SprintFAX system for delivery over Sprint's network.
Broadcasting documents via SprintFAX service has become increasingly popular among executives worldwide. From mortgage bankers, who depend on SprintFAX to send the latest mortgage rates to their brokers, to cruise line executives who use SprintFAX to notify travel agents of last minute special promotions to fill vacancies on cruise ships, the service is seeing dramatic growth.
Starting in September, every new PSI modem will include FAXcilitate 1.5 software with broadcast, making SprintFAX an even easier way to reach an established list of clientele in a short period of time. There are no setup or monthly fees, just usage costs for the on-line time.
"PSI Integration's fax software is an ideal complement to Sprint's powerful broadcast fax capabilities," said Adrian Toader, vice president and general manager of Sprint TeleMedia. "Our relationship with PSI is an important part of Sprint's strategy to integrate enhanced telecommunications services with personal computers."
Sprint leads the industry linking personal computers with enhanced facsimile and messaging services. Through agreements with the industry's leading personal computer and local area network software companies, Sprint plans to offer the industry's most comprehensive broadcast facsimile capabilities.
The SprintFAX enhanced facsimile service bureau is the largest in the United States. SprintFAX Broadcast Distribution was recently recognized by the American Facsimile Association as the 1993 Best Fax Broadcast Service.
With SprintFAX, a customer can fax any document simultaneously and automatically to multiple locations as quickly and easily as a single fax. The system, fully redundant to ensure transmission reliability, is monitored and controlled by a command center in Overland Park, Kan. Sprint was the first carrier to integrate enhanced facsimile and interactive voice services.
PSI Integration, a leading provider of high-quality, high-end technology telecommunications solutions for the Macintosh and Powerbook computers since 1987, is headquartered in Campbell, Calif.
Sprint is a diversified international telecommunications company with more than $10 billion in annual revenues and the United States' only nationwide all-digital, fiber-optic network. Its divisions provide global long distance voice, data and video products and services, local telephone services to nearly 6 million subscriber lines in 19 states, and cellular operations that serve 42 metropolitan markets and more than 50 rural service areas.
