BRMB radio fined for ice stunt contest.

BIRMINGHAM- based radio station BRMB which held a competition that left three contestants with severe ice burns and permanent scars was fined pounds 15,000 by magistrates after it admitted breaching health and safety laws.

The station's Coolest Seats In Town contest challenged people to sit on blocks of dry ice - which had a temperature of -78C for as long as they could to win tickets for a music festival.

Three of them spent 10 weeks in hospital recovering from extensive skin grafts.
