BRITISH AIRWAYS RECEIVES ORDER FROM RADA ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES

HERZLIYA PITUACH, Israel, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Rada Electronic Industries Limited (NASDAQ: RADIF) announced today that an order for its Commercial Aviation Test Station (CATS) has been received from British Airways. The amount of the order was not disclosed.
Rada recently delivered and installed a CATS Tester at the Bedek Aviation division of Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd., supporting units such as the Pitch and Roll computers of the DC-9 type of airplane.
Haim Nissenson, president of Rada, stated that he is pleased with both the growth in the backlog of CATS orders and the extent of worldwide market penetration to date.
The CATS Tester ordered by British Airways complies with state-of- the-art technology, including such new features as the RADA-developed A608 matrix device, a hardware standard set by ARINC. CATS Testers have the ability to perform automatic testing and diagnostic procedures of a great variety of electronic units in commercial aircraft. The company believes that its CATS is a cost-effective solution for airlines since it has the ability to replace many single-purpose manual test stations, which are labor intensive. CATS Testers provide savings in the time required for a test and should result in lower inventory cost.
RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. is incorporated in Israel and has subsidiaries in the United States and Europe. The company is engaged in the development and marketing of advanced electronic equipment for the defense and commercial aviation markets.
