BRITE VOICE INTRODUCES A NEW INFORMATION SOLUTION
 FOR VOICE MAIL SUBSCRIBERS
WICHITA, Kan., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Voice mail subscribers will have access to a new type of information through their mailboxes with the debut of Brite Voice Systems Inc.'s (NASDAQ: BVSI) SourceMail(TM). Packaged exclusively for voice mail subscribers, SourceMail Network offers useful audio information transmitted frequently on a daily basis. This information may be customized by each subscriber who chooses from a variety of programs including news, stock market updates, weather forecasts, sports, lottery results and entertainment programs. Optional choices include StockQuote(TM) and local information.
Brite's history as a leader in the audiotex industry and the largest information provider in the country positions SourceMail as the most flexible and sophisticated Information Services package available today.
SourceMail Offers Exciting Benefits to Service Bureaus
By adding SourceMail audio information to existing voice mail services, service bureaus have the potential to increase the incremental revenue from existing subscribers and to augment their voice mail market share. Other benefits include retaining existing voice mail subscribers, creating barriers to competitive products and further positioning within the information services industry.
Karla Allen, Brite Voice product manager, stated, "There's a lot of competition for voice messaging service bureaus. There are home answering machines, voice processing machines... By offering SourceMail service, you're able to differentiate yourself and continue to retain your voice mail subscribers that may otherwise go elsewhere."
There are three delivery methods available: the SourceMail Broadcast, the Emulation Delivery System (EDS) and the Integrated Delivery System.
According to Allen, "The delivery options are based on the features each service bureau wants to offer to subscribers, how automated it wants the process to be and how much control the service bureau has over its existing voice mail system."
With SourceMail Broadcast, the information is delivered directly to a service bureau's existing platform, which then organizes and distributes the information to subscribers. The Emulation Delivery method operates through a Brite EDS system which receives SourceMail Network via satellite. The EDS then dials up and records the information into the voice mail system for organization and distribution. The most customized option utilizes the Integrated Delivery System, which interfaces with a service bureau's existing voice mail equipment to provide a fully automated solution.
Brite's Information Service -- A Major Plus For SourceMail Network
SourceMail relies on the experienced Brite team for information that is accurate, timely and entertaining. With 60 writers, editors and producers creating more than 1,200 programs each day, Brite's Information Services team is the largest in the audiotex industry. Qualified staff and state-of-the-art facilities unite to produce an information product that is widely recognized throughout the industry.
Brite broadcasts the information programs via the nation's largest audiotex satellite network. Satellite transmission provides SourceMail instant updates and a cost-efficient method of delivery.
