BRITAIN TODAY: Big trouble; CHARITY.

FOUR young volunteers from the North East are representing children's charity Barnardo's at a national youth conference this weekend.

The event, called "Big Trouble in Little Britain", is being held in Bournemouth on the subjects of knife and gun crime, tackling drugs and how young people are represented in the media.

Liam Wooton, 16, of Sunderland, Moira McHale, 23, of Stanley, County Durham, Claire Hardy, 22, of Newcastle, and Ashley Rae, 20, of Middlesbrough, will present their report on knife and gang crime.
