BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB INCREASES DIVIDEND

 NEW YORK, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Bristol- Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) today declared a quarterly dividend of seventy-three cents ($.73) per share on the $.10 par value Common Stock of the corporation, an increase of 1% over previous quarterly payments of seventy-two cents ($.72) per share. The dividend will be payable February 1, 1994, to stockholders of record at the close of business on January 7, 1994. The 1994 indicated annual payment of two dollars and ninety-two cents ($2.92) represents a 1% increase over the two dollars and eighty-eight cents ($2.88) paid in 1993. With this 1994 payment, Bristol-Myers Squibb dividends will have increased at a compound growth rate of 8% over the past five years and 15% over the past ten years. This increase represents the twenty-second consecutive year that the company has raised the dividend on its common stock.
 Directors also declared a dividend of fifty cents ($.50) per share on the $2.00 Convertible Preferred Stock of the corporation, payable March 1, 1994, to stockholders of record at the close of business on February 4, 1994.
