Campgrounds to open
in Umpqua National Forest
ROSEBURG - Developed campgrounds in the Umpqua National Forest will be open this weekend, with the exception of Boulder Annex Campground, which remains closed because of hazardous trees.
Open campgrounds include Ash Flat, Black Canyon, Falcon Creek and Skillet Creek, as well as Skookum Pond Forest Camp. All have no fees and no garbage service, meaning campers must pack out their own refuse. Campers are reminded to control and attend all campfires, and to douse them with water and shoveled earth before leaving their sites.
