Teen held in break-ins

at Oakridge schools

OAKRIDGE - A 14-year-old Oakridge boy was arrested Saturday for allegedly breaking into the town's high school, elementary school and bus barn, police said.

The youth was charged with criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, theft, violating curfew and being a minor in possession of alcohol, said Oakridge police officer Sjon Clemons.

The boy allegedly went through various high school classrooms and took about $1,000 in cash that was raised for a school ski trip, Clemons said. The youth was being held at John Serbu Youth Campus.
