Byline: The Register-GuardCorvallis councilman will discuss Cuba trip
Corvallis City Councilor Mike Beilstein will offer an informal report at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Eugene office of the Latin American Solidarity Committee, 458 Blair Blvd., on his July trip to Cuba with "Pastors for Peace."
The trip was intended to offer aid to Cuban communities in defiance of the U.S. trade embargo. Following a potluck, Beilstein will show photos and talk about life in Cuba.

Alzheimer's speaker plans talk about activity
Speaker Susan Stewart-Clark will discuss how to keep people suffering from Alzheimer's disease or dementia busy, happy and engaged in life during an Alzheimer's Association education meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 West C St., in Springfield.
