BRIDE-TO-BE MICHELLE RODMAN OF SAN DIEGO WILL APPEAR FEB. 11 ON 'LIVE WITH REGIS & KATHIE LEE' "Live" airs on KGTV-TV/Channel 10 at 9 a.m. weekdays NEW YORK, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Even though Michelle Rodman of San Diego did not win a chance to be married on "Live with Regis & Kathie Lee" this Valentine's Day, she is being flown back to New York to appear on the show next Tuesday, Feb. 11, anyway. Rodman is one of the four brides-to-be finalists who will model designer wedding gowns in a special bridal fashion show on "Live." Along with thousands of others, Rodman had entered herself and her fiance, Marc Fenster, in "Live's" contest to find its 1992 Valentine's Day wedding couple. Rodman, 23, just graduated from San Diego State in December with a degree in social work. While waiting to hear if she's been accepted to the master's program, she is looking for work and volunteering at Scripps-La Jolla Hospital's Women's Health Resource Clinic. Fenster is currently a graduate student in bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego. Both moved from their native Las Vegas to the San Diego area in the late '80s. Rodman and Fenster, who met in the seventh grade, certainly epitomize the perfect Valentine's couple. "He was the brain of our class," Rodman wrote in her official entry letter, "and I was involved in choir and cheerleading. As one might imagine, we didn't have much in common at first. We consulted with each other about current boyfriends and girlfriends. I used to go to his house before his dates and help him pick out the right outfit to wear, all the while hoping to catch a glimpse of his neighbor (whom I had a major crush on!). As our senior prom approached, I found myself dateless! I informed Marc and several other male friends that one of them had better take me. I'm not sure if they drew straws or what, but Marc asked me to the prom. That was almost five years ago. ...On Dec. 24, 1990, Marc proposed to me." Fenster and Rodman will be married in Las Vegas this July. "Live's" 1992 wedding couple is Mark Vanase and Jessica Vickers of Storrs, Conn. They will be introduced to "Live's" millions of viewers next Monday, then featured on the show each day next week. Next Friday, Valentine's Day, "Live" will devote its entire show to their nuptials. -0- 2/7/92 /CONTACT: Lyla Foggia of Buena Vista Television, 503-622-4811/ CO: Buena Vista Television ST: California, New York IN: ENT SU:
