BREWVIEW; EAST GREEN BRIANGLOVER.

IF your carbon footprint is weighing on your mind, a brewery has stepped in to soothe your nerves - with a carbon-neutral beer.

Adnams of Suffolk claims to be Britain's leading environmental brewer. East Green is produced in its new eco-efficient brewhouse which recycles 100%of the steamcreated during the brewing process to heat its next brew. Only local East Anglian barley is used and a lightweight bottle to cut transport costs.

Even its delivery depot has a "living" roof of sedumplants for natural insulation, along with solar panels and rainwater harvesting. The resulting golden eco ale, East Green (4.3%), is a natural winner, with a refreshingly dry biscuity flavour and a light citrus aroma. So now you can drink beer and minimise gas emissions! Available from Tesco.
