BREED TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS

 LAKELAND, Fla., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Breed Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BDT) has announced the recent appointment of Jack W. Stawski to the position of vice president of materials and purchasing. Mr. Stawski's responsibilities include worldwide purchasing, material and inventory control systems.
 Mr. Stawski brings 25 years of experience to Breed in the area of manufacturing, quality and materials management. His most recent position was as director of materials with ITT Automotive Brake Systems. Prior to that he was employed by Allied Signal Corporation, Bendix Electronics and CMI Corporation.
 Also joining Breed is Art Schauffert in the position of treasurer. Mr. Schauffert's responsibilities include financial, insurance and investment functions. His career spans more than 20 years, including his most recent position of treasurer and assistant secretary at Moog Automotive in St. Louis. Prior to that he was treasurer of St. Joe Minerals.
 Breed Technologies is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of automotive crash sensors and airbag systems.
