BRAZILIAN FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY SETS UP MIAMI OFFICE

MIAMI, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- CMA Group of Sao Paulo, Brazil, a leading provider of computerized data on international stock markets, today announced establishment of Technodata Resources Inc., a Dade County company that will be CMA's sole representative in Florida.
CMA transmits instantaneous quotations, news and other on-line information on 30 stock markets and futures exchanges in South America, the U.S. and Europe.
Technodata, owned by a Miami-based group headed by Alexandre Glock, will begin operations in mid-March. It will market CMA's hardware and software systems to brokerage firms, banks, investment advisors and corporations throughout Florida. CMA is providing technology and financial support.
"CMA chose Miami because of the advantages it offers to international companies that are doing business in Latin America," Glock said.
The Beacon Council, Dade County's business and economic development organization, provided Technodata and CMA with information on Miami and helped Technodata obtain necessary permits and licenses. CMA first sought the Council's assistance in March 1992, after several of its directors attended a Council-sponsored Team Miami business development seminar in Sao Paulo.
In mid-March, Technodata will open an office with four employees at 12700 Biscayne Blvd. in North Miami.
CMA provides quotations, analysis and other data on stock markets in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. In May, it plans to begin providing similar information on Mexico's stock market. Later this year, it hopes to expand its coverage to stock markets of Chile, Venezuela and Colombia.
