BRADY RE-ELECTED TO HEINZ BOARD

 PITTSBURGH, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Nicholas F. Brady, former secretary of the treasury, has been re-elected to the board of directors of H.J. Heinz Company (NYSE: HNZ), it was announced today.
 Brady served as a member of the Heinz board from 1987 to 1988.
 Since January 1993, Brady has been chairman and president of Darby Advisors, Inc., an investment firm.
 Brady, 63, received a B.A. degree from Yale University in 1952, and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School in 1954. His career in the banking industry spans nearly 40 years. He joined Dillon, Read & Co., Inc. in New York in 1954, rising to chairman of the board. He has been a director of NCR and the MITRE Corporation.
 Brady served in the U.S. Senate from April 20, 1982 through Dec. 27, 1982. During that time, he was a member of the Armed Services Committee and the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. He has served on the President's Commission on Strategic Forces, the National Bipartisan Commission on Central America, the Commission on Security and Economic Assistance and the Blue Ribbon Commission on Defense Management. More recently, Brady was a chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Market Mechanisms.
 In September 1988, Brady was appointed the 68th secretary of the treasury by then President Ronald Reagan. He served in that position until January 1993.
 He also has been a trustee of Rockefeller University and a director of The Economic Club of New York. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Inc. and a former trustee of the Boys' Club of Newark.
 Brady and his wife, Katherine, have four children and reside in Far Hills, N.J.
