BPS appoints student representatives.

The Birla Public School (BPS) has held investiture ceremony to officially induct the newly-elected student members.

The chief guest at the event attended by the BPS Governing Council member R K Dalmia, was Embassy of India first secretary M R Qureshi,

Other dignitaries present on the occasion were, school chairman C V Rappai, board of directors, Dr Mohan Thomas, Gope Shahani and rti Oberoi, Bhullar Singh, Komal Shahani and Thankom Thomas, school principal A K Shrivastava, vice principal Shirly Rappai, headmistress Bhanumathi Ganti, junior headmistress Shiney Joseph, academic supervisors, heads of departments, teachers and parents.

During the event, the students were sworn-in and initiated into the oath-taking ceremony by principal Shrivastava. The newly-elected office bearers include Visvas Kandhan Gopal-head boy, Jenet Sara Jacob-head girl, Prateek Tripathi-vice head boy, Tina Bharani-vice head girl,Vijai Vinayan Thampi-president of Student Council, Mayukh Basu-vice president of Student Council, Anmol Singh Bhullar-speaker, Jemimah Julie Anil and Sidharth Sankar-campus correspondents, Vishkh Anantharaman and Angel Annie Thomas-cultural secretaries and Divya Mohite-sports captain.

Prefects, assistant prefects and student council members were also conferred the title during the occasion. The chief guest Qureshi congratulated them and reminded them to shoulder the responsibility with sincerity and hard work.

The ceremony ended with the vote of thanks by Rose Mary, a student of grade XII.

The new BPS campus which started functioning on April 4, was formally inaugurated in Abu Hamour on May 2.
