BPP boosts dividend by 10pc.
The London-based group, which posted a 1pc rise in underlying pre-tax profits for the six months to June 30 to pounds 9.1m, said it would increase its interim dividend to 4.4p from the 4p offered last time.
Baggeridge builds up its profits
BAGGERIDGE Brick - the UK's fourth largest brick maker - built up profit expectations in the City after reporting strong demand from housebuilders.
Baggeridge signalled that profits for the year to September 30 would be "substantially ahead of market expectations". Analysts forecast a figure around pounds 5.6m.
Fox leaps ahead
RUPERT Murdoch's US media company Fox Entertainment Group yesterday posted a net profit of pounds 160.4m for the three months to end of June, compared with pounds 24.8m a year earlier.
THE number of people getting on to the property ladder has fallen to its lowest level since records began in 1974, according to mortgage lender Halifax.
Just 174,000 people bought their first home during the first six months of 2003, 32pc fewer than during the first half of the previous year.
The way to go
BRITISH traffic technology company, ITIS Holdings, has announced a deal to supply Ford with traffic messaging in its UK cars.
The deal is expected to involve 70,000 to 100,000 cars a year and will put ITIS' RDS-TMC systems in Ford's new-look Mondeo immediately and will extend to other vehicles across Ford's ranges and subsidiaries.
