BOYS FIND LOADED GUN IN CITY STREET; Aunt stops six-year-old pulling trigger.
THIS is the handgun three young boys found in a Coventry street.
Six-year-old Jack Lindon spotted the loaded weapon poking through a bush in a residential street in Bell Green.
He picked it up without knowing it contained four live home-made bullets.
Police today launched an investigation into how the replica automatic handgun - designed to fire blanks but with a home-made conversion to allow for live bullets - came to be dumped in the hedge of a family house in Cherrybrook Way, Bell Green.
The youngster, who was with his brother and another boy, both aged 10, was on the verge of pulling the trigger when his stunned aunt intervened.
And his furious mum is demanding to know how her sons could have been put in such danger on a quiet city street.
