BOXING: Harrison dismisses talk of a mismatch.

AUDLEY HARRISON moved quickly to deflect criticism of the Olympic super- heavyweight's opponent for his seventh professional fight at Liverpool Olympia tonight.

Harrison fights 32-year-old American Wade Lewis in a bout which has all the makings of a mismatch.

Lewis boasts a flattering 11-3 record which includes 10 knockout wins - albeit against unknown Deep South club fighters with lopsided losing records.

But Harrison, who has been berated for his slow professional progress and apparent lack of ambition in picking opponents, leapt to Lewis' defence.

"Lewis is a live opponent and he is coming in here to win," Harrison insisted.

"It doesn't matter what the records were of the guys he fought. Lewis beat those in front of him and if can knock out 10 opponents then it proves you have power and that you are dangerous."
