IF betting is anything to go by, cruiserweights Nathan Cleverly (1-100) and Tony Bellew (1-16) will stand opposite two tomato cans at Liverpool's Echo Arena tonight.
Their opponents, Alejandro Emilio Valori and Julio Cesar Dos Santos, appear to have been hired to fall to the ground at the earliest opportunity, the ring equivalent of British girls in Magaluf. But the best-laid plans don't always come off, even with those girls in Magaluf who are best laid.
Bellew's rival Dos Santos has never been stopped, not even by traffic police. Most of his wins are in Brazil, but if you can punch hard in Brazil the odds are you can punch hard in Britain. Scouse scrapper Bellew (right) is likely for a points win but, if he gets careless and drops his guard, we could be kicking ourselves again this week for missing a 7-1 Brazilian.
