BOSTON EDISON ANNOUNCES RESTART OF PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION

 PLYMOUTH, Mass., Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- Boston Edison (NYSE: BSE) announced that Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station was restarted Monday, following a planned month-long maintenance and surveillance outage. Plant operators shut down the plant for the mid-cycle outage October 24.
 During the outage, technicians inspected systems throughout the plant. Plant personnel also performed approximately 40 modifications, as well as hundreds of maintenance activities.
 Outage personnel also worked on design enhancements in the Pilgrim Station control room, and on replacement of piping in the salt service water system.
 Plant operators will gradually return Pilgrim to full power; that process is expected to be completed within the next few days.
