BOSS: NO QPR LINK TO O'HARA.

WOLVES manager Kenny Jackett last night dismissed speculation that PS5 million midfielder Jamie O'Hara has joined Queens Park Rangers on trial.

Rumours were rife at Molineux that O'Hara had joined-up with Rangers to play in a practice match in the same week that the Loftus Road out-fit had raided Molineux to sign Karl Henry.

But the Rangers link with transferlisted O'Hara was news to Jackett who said: "Neither myself nor Kevin Thelwell (Wolves' head of football development and recruitment) know anything about that.

"We haven't had any contact and it is not going to be true.

"All I can say is that myself and Kevin have no knowledge of that whatsoever."

While O'Hara has no future at Molineux and Wolves are keen to sell him, Jackett has hinted that, in the short term at least, Tongo Doumbia could find himself out in the cold.

He was surprisingly absent from the squad against Real Betis with Jackett revealing that he has slipped down the midfield pecking order.

RUMOUR Kenny Jackett added: "It very much depends on how he performs in training and how my team develops and what is needed. "I had started him twice in the last two pre-season games and today I went for Lee Evans, who I thought was excellent, David Davis, David Edwards and then from the substitutes bench Kevin Foley who has had a stop and start pre-season due to some ankle problems that he is over now.

"He is an asset for the club, he is a very good onetouch footballer and whatever position he plays he gives 100 per cent.

WRONG: Jackett.

"Young Jack Price was also on the bench and those were the guys that I selected in midfield. "Just talking about those midfield lads - and we will put Foley in the category of being versatile and playing in other positions - at present in terms of team selection going forward they are in pole position.''
