BONAVENTURE SHOPPING GALLERY ANNOUNCES THE RED CROSS
DISASTER RELIEF EFFORT FUND DRIVE FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Hurricane Andrew's destruction affected millions of people, and the Bonaventure Shopping Gallery located in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel is giving local individuals an opportunity to help Andrew's victims.
The Bonaventure Shopping Gallery today announced the Red Cross Disaster Relief Effort -- a fund drive which will directly assist the states and citizens most affected. A lunch-time fund drive will take place at the Bonaventure Shopping Gallery on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Downtown Los Angeles residents and workers wishing to make a contribution may stop by the Hurricane Andrew collection area from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on that day only. In addition, monetary donations can be left at the Retail Management Office, suite 520, in the Westin Bonaventure. Donations will be accepted Sept. 8 - 11, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in that office.
The Gallery's Red Cross Disaster Relief Effort is part of a nationwide program organized by Minneapolis-based General Growth Management Inc., the management company for the Bonaventure Shopping Gallery. All of General Growth Management Inc.'s 75 retail properties in 29 states and Washington, D.C., are participating in the relief effort.
The Gallery will have a booth located on level four, the Market on Four between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Donations can also be dropped off at the Gallery Management Office, suite 520, throughout this week (Sept. 8 - 11), 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The money collected during the Bonaventure Shopping Gallery's Red Cross Disaster Relief Effort will, along with money collected from General Growth Management Inc.'s other 75 retail properties, be given to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which assists victims of natural disasters.
"We attract millions of people everyday to our shopping centers across the country. Therefore, we have the opportunity to draw this community of people together in an effort to help the victims of Hurricane Andrew. We're happy to be a part of this collective effort," said Marcy Young, retail manager of the Bonaventure Shopping Gallery.
