BOLSTERED BY STRONG RETAIL SALES, CADILLAC JUNE DELIVERIES INCREASE 3.0 PERCENT

DETROIT, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Bolstered by strong retail sales, Cadillac Motor Car reported a 3.0-percent increase in June deliveries compared to a year ago. Total monthly sales for the division were 19,312 units compared to 18,758 in 1992.
Retail deliveries were up 23.4 percent, compared to the same month last year. Calendar-year sales after the initial six months were 107,292 units.
We're very encouraged with our increase in retail sales and decreased dependence on daily rental fleets," said John O. Grettenberger, Cadillac general manager and General Motors vice president. "Since the start of the calendar year, Cadillac dealers have enjoyed a healthy 6.8-percent increase in retail deliveries while we have reduced sales to daily rental fleets by more than 25 percent. This reduction also helps to strengthen the resale value for all our Cadillac models."
