 BOEING'S COSGROVE AWARDED WRIGHT BROTHERS TROPHY
 WASHINGTON D.C., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ --Benjamin A. Cosgrove,


senior vice president-engineering at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, (NYSE: BA) was awarded the prestigious Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy at a special Aero Club of Washington banquet this evening at the Hyatt Regency Capital Hill, The Boeing Co. announced today.
 Annually, since 1948, the National Aeronautic Association has awarded the prestigious Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy for "significant public service of enduring value to aviation in the United States." Previous honorees have included Charles A. Lindbergh, Barry M. Goldwater, Igor I. Sikorsky, and two retired Boeing employees, T.A. Wilson and Joseph F. Sutter.
 The inscription on the accompanying citation reads, "For a lifetime contribution to commercial aviation safety and to the technology development of four generations of Boeing commercial jet transport aircraft."
 In receiving this award, Cosgrove, a 42-year veteran of The Boeing Co., was recognized for his technical contributions and leadership in the development of Boeing jet transport aircraft, including the 707, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767 and the new 777 models. Cosgrove has been dedicated to achieving high aviation safety standards by developing industry-wide programs that ensure the safe operation of commercial airplanes.
