Craig Boddington's article "Be a Better Shooter" in the June/July issue was, as always, filled with indispensable advice and instruction. He has an uncanny way of "getting through" to guys like me. I own and have read all of his books--except for one that I can't afford. I'm three or four years his senior, but I relate to him and his experiences. It's a rare gift, it seems to me, for such an outdoor expert like Craig, to be able to connect with so many hunters and shooters of all ages. No question, he's the real deal!

I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Colonel Boddington last year at the Kansas State Rifle Association Annual Meeting. I asked for his advice about some rifle/caliber choices for an upcoming hunt with my son in South Africa. Of course, Craig was incredibly humble, helpful, and considerate of me and my buddy. I came away with even greater respect for the man, his passion, and his experience.

Keep up the good work, Colonel Boddington. I hope to share a campfire with you someday.
