BOB EVANS FARMS DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

 COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the board of directors of Bob Evans Farms Inc. (NASDAQ: BOBE) declared a quarterly dividend of six and three-quarter cents ($.0675) per share on the corporation's outstanding common stock ($.01 par value). The dividend is payable Dec. 1, 1993, to stockholders of record at the close of business on Nov. 19, 1993.
 Bob Evans Farms Inc. currently owns and operates 296 restaurants in the 19-state area of Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Missouri, Maryland, New York, South Carolina, Virginia, Iowa, New Jersey, Delaware and Texas. Concepts include 284 Bob Evans and Owens Family Restaurants, eight Bob Evans Restaurant & General Stores, and four Cantina del Rio Mexican restaurants.
 Bob Evans Farms retail food products are sold under the Bob Evans Farms, Owens County Sausage, Mrs. Giles, Mrs. Kinser's, Jack's, Janet's and Today's Edition brand names in all or part of 27 states and the District of Columbia. Hickory Specialties, a national charcoal and smoke-flavoring producer, is also a Bob Evans company.
