BNP Paribas Arbitrage SNC, a subsidiary of French bank BNP Paribas SA (BNPP.PA) (LSE: BNP) (OTC: BNPQY) has reported a 6.1 percent stake in Blockbuster Inc (NYSE: BBI).

BNP Paribas beneficially owns about 9.18 million shares of the Dallas-based video retail chain, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The stake was reported on a form designated for passive investors, who do not seek to change or influence a company's operations.
