BNP Paribas Named First Honoree of the Joseph Cullman Award from the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

NEW YORK & PARIS -- BNP Paribas is pleased to announce it has been selected as the first honoree of the Joseph Cullman Award from the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The Bank was recognized for the significant contributions it has made to the game of tennis globally and the help it has given to develop the sport around the world. The Bank was chosen from a distinguished group of companies and organizations that support the game.

The award was presented to Mr. Everett Schenk, Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas' Corporate and Investment Banking operations in North America on Friday the 8th September at the annual International Tennis Hall of Fame gala dinner. The International Tennis Hall of Fame hosts a gala dinner each year honoring the inductees of the International Tennis Hall of Fame in New York City during the US Open.

Joseph Cullman, who passed away in 2004, was Chairman of the Philip Morris/Altria Corporation and made many tremendous contributions to the game, including founding the Women's Professional Tennis Circuit.

In 1973, BNP Paribas began supporting tennis when it became the official sponsor of the French Open at Roland Garros.
