BMR GOLD CORP. ANNOUNCES STARTER PIT PRODUCTION TO DOUBLE ON SOUTH COMSTOCK PROJECT

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- BMR Gold Corp. (Toronto: BGL) announced today that Phase 1 production from the Lucerne starter pit will increase to 300,000 tons grading 0.078 ounces per ton gold equivalent. Mining is scheduled to begin in August and completed by May 1994. This phase will yield more than 15,000 ounces of gold and 100,000 ounces of silver beginning in September 1993.
Last week the venture obtained variances to its operating permits for waste storage in a location which will reduce mining costs. Operating time limits were also increased to 12 from 10 hours per day demonstrating the cooperation which exists with the county.
The South Comstock Project is a 50/50 joint venture by Rea Mining Corp. and BMR Gold Corp. The project is located southeast of Reno, Nev., in the well-known Comstock District. It will be developed in two phases. Phase 2 will consist of a new 100,000-ton-per-month processing facility to be located in the American Flats area north west of the pits. The facility is being designed to accommodate up to 4 million tons of ore grading 0.055 ounces per ton gold equivalent yielding between 40 and 45 thousand ounces of gold and 300,000 ounces silver annually.
Drilling is now in progress on the down dip extension of the first mining target. (Lucerne pit) where potential exists to add between 500,000 and 1 million tons of open pit ore to the current 3 million ton reserve. Once these ore reserves are defined a comprehensive operating plan for Phase 2 will be completed.
BMR Gold also announced today that it has entered into a fiscal agency agreement with Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion Inc., a national Canadian securities firm and that the agreement has been accepted for filing by the Toronto Stock Exchange. Levesque acted as a finder for BMR in locating a joint venture partner for the South Comstock Joint Venture. BMR has agreed to issue 150,000 shares to Levesque as a fiscal agency fee. The agreement provides a framework for future fiscal activity on behalf of BMR Gold.
