 BLUE CIRCLE AMERICA ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT
 LONDON, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Circle Industries PLC today


issued the following statement:
 David Lovett is appointed president and chief executive of Blue Circle America Inc. with effect from July 1, 1992. He succeeds Keith Orrell-Jones, who takes up the post of group managing director of Blue Circle Industries PLC on the retirement of James McColgan in September 1992. It is the intention to appoint Lovett to the board of Blue Circle Industries when he takes up his new post.
 Lovett has nearly thirty years' experience in the heavy building materials' industry in the United States and Canada. He joins Blue Circle from Lafarge Corporation where he was most recently executive vice president and president of their construction materials group. Lovett is married with four children.
