BLOOMINGDALE'S COORDINATES INAUGURAL ATTIRE FOR THE 'FACES OF HOPE'
NEW YORK, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Bloomingdale's announced today that it has been selected by the Inaugural Committee to coordinate the formal attire for the "Faces of Hope" and their guests for the Inaugural Ball on Jan. 20. These 50 people are Americans whose activities and lives made an indelible impression on President-elect Clinton, Vice President-elect Gore and their wives during campaign stops across America. "Bloomingdale's salutes the people who are being honored at the Faces of Hope' luncheon. We believe the extraordinary assistance we have received from the fashion community will guarantee an enjoyable evening for these special guests," stated Michael Gould, chairman and CEO. Less than two weeks ago, Bloomingdale's was called upon to use its resources to outfit 120 people for the Inaugural Ball. From the very first phone call, response from the design community was immediate and enthusiastic. Each manufacturer committed to help the store to insure a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience in Washington, D.C. On Sunday, Jan. 17, Bloomingdale's employees in Washington will gather at White Flint and Tysons Corner where they will come face-to- face with the honored guests and begin individual fittings. Within 48 hours, their tuxedos and gowns will be ready for Wednesday night's inaugural festivities. "To Christian Dior's Men's Dresswear and Neckwear by Warnaco, Nicole Miller, A.J.
