BJP registers complaint with EC, castigates Congress for using abusive language against Modi.
Speaking to the media, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, attacked the Congress for using abusive remarks to tarnish Modi in a planned conspiracy. He called upon the Election Commission to take strict action against Congress leaders like Beni Prasad Verma and Kapil Sibal.
"There has been a continuous and an unabated campaign going on by the Congress leaders, including their own ministers who have been making abusive statements in order to malign the image of Narendra Modi," Naqvi said.
The BJP vice-president said that there was a no holds barred language used against Modi. He termed this as a ploy of the Congress party in order to vitiate the election atmosphere.
"Some says that he his a Hitler, others say Idi Amin, Zia-ul-Haque. They also label him as Yamraj, Maut-ka-Saudagar. Congress which is not prepared to face the elections is trying to vitiate the election atmosphere by these means," Naqvi added.
The BJP vice-president said the Congress was 'losing its mental balance' and hence it was making such comments before the elections as it knows it will lose it.
"Congress fears that it will be defeated in the elections. It has lost its mental balance," Naqvi added.
Naqvi took strong exception to the baseless comments made by Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Modi, terming him as a potential accused in the Tulsiram Prajapati murder case.
"That whatever Union Law Minister, Kapil Sibal, has used the kind of language yesterday amounts to violating model- code- of- conduct. He has made baseless allegations against Modi and Amit Shah,"
Union Law Minister, Kapil Sibal on Monday said Modi is a "potential accused" in the Tulsiram Prajapati murder case and should be interrogated by CBI, hours after the BJP's prime ministerial candidate promised to cleanse the political system and Parliament of criminal elements. ( ANI )
