BITTER SWEET FOR IRISH.

ONE IRISH province is guaranteed to compete in the final of the British & Irish Cup in May - but only one will make it.

The remaining provinces, Ulster Ravens and Munster A, will face each other in the first semi-final after the draw was made in Cardiff yesterday.

Cornish Pirates and Doncaster Knights will meet in the second semi and both will take place on the weekend of April 23-25.

However it is the winner of the all-England semi who will have home advantage in the final, which will take place on Sunday, May 16.

British & Irish Cup Tournament Director Terry Burwell said: "We now have two mouth watering semi finals for players, coaches and supporters of these clubs and provinces."
