BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT: 1,500-POUND COW FINALLY GIVES BIRTH AT 'MIRACLE OF LIFE' EXHIBIT

 DETROIT, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Louise the cow is the proud new mother of Lady Michelle Marie, a 110-pound calf born at 12:05 p.m. today.
 The breach birth, which took place after several days of labor, was extremely difficult, according to Dr. Pamela Ruegg of Michigan State University's Department of large Animal Clinical Sciences.
 Two cows and one sheep are expected to deliver within the next few days of the exhibit.
 The "Miracle of Life" Animal Birthing exhibit, sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan, is a unique and exciting attraction of the 145th Michigan State Fair and is presented in partnership with the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The live birth portion of the exhibit has been extended through Labor Day.
