BIRMINGHAM, ALA. IS HOME FOR NEW AUTO BUSINESS

 BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The "Grand Opening" of a new Birmingham-area business will be celebrated by local community, civic and business leaders this evening between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
 The new business, Vulcan Lincoln-Mercury Inc., at 1476 Montgomery Highway in Vestavia Hills, will employ about 35 persons with an annual payroll of more than $1.4 million.
 Festivities will include music and refreshments and an opportunity for the public to tour the newly refurbished facility and meet its employees.
 The dealership is owned by Tony Serra and Joe Dorion. Serra is chairman and president and Dorion is vice president and general manager of the dealership.
 Lincoln-Mercury is a division of Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F). Its products include Lincoln Mark VIII, Continental and Town Car as well as Mercury Villager, Marquis, Cougar, Capri and Tracer.
 Vulcan Lincoln-Mercury is the newest addition to the Serra Automotive Group, which operates 13 franchises in eight locations throughout Alabama. The Serra Group employs more than 300 persons at its various locations.
