BIO-LIFE SYSTEMS REPORTS EARNINGS

 LIVONIA, Mich., June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- BIO-LIFE SYSTEMS, INC. ("BLSY") (OTC Bulletin Board: BLSY), a Livonia-based Michigan corporation which manufactures sophisticated medical tubing, medical components and biotechnology equipment, announced that for the six-month period ended March 31, 1993, it showed an operating profit of $120,440 on sales of $655,976. Net income for the period (after heavy patent amortization and other non-operating deductions) amounted to $10,229. This compares with a prior-year operating loss of $159,968 and, after deduction of non-operating costs, a net loss of $374,307 on sales of $204,437 for the shortened nine-month fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1992.
 BLSY also announced that on June 7, 1993, its wholly owned subsidiary, Medical Profiles, Inc. ("MPI") received 510K clearance from the FDA to begin sales of MPI's most promising medical component product, a Peripheral Intravenous Catheter Kit, used to deliver chemotherapy treatments with much less cost and discomfort than present methods. MPI is a leading manufacturer of custom-designed medical tubing for catheters used primarily in cardiology procedures which is now employing its complete OEM capabilities to develop several new proprietary medical products.
 BLSY's other wholly owned subsidiary, Bioelectronics, Inc. ("BIO"), manufactures patented electronic cell processing equipment used by the biotechnology industry to fuse, extract and inject living cells in order to do bioengineering or bio-genetics. BIO is also developing a cell stream sorter which utilizes electronic frequencies for the high-speed simultaneous separation of multiple cell lines.
 BIO-LIFE SYSTEMS, INC. is traded on the OTC Electronic Bulletin Board under the symbol BLSY.
