BIGNET SIGNS RIDDICK BOWE TO VIDEO GAME CONTRACT; WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP TO CO-DESIGN BOXING PRODUCT

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Bignet U.S.A. Inc., a leading publisher of video-game software products for Sega game systems, today announced a worldwide licensing agreement with Riddick Bowe, the world heavyweight boxing champion, to develop a line of interactive-software boxing games for North America, Europe and Japan.
Under terms of the agreement, Bowe will support Bignet's efforts to design and develop a state-of-the-art boxing game for numerous computer and video-game systems.
"It is a pleasure working with Riddick and his people. His dedication to being a good role model makes him an ideal partner in developing new interactive entertainment," said Denny Thorley, vice president and general manager of Bignet. "We intend on actively involving Riddick and his organization in the development of the game."
This past weekend, Bowe, also know as "Big Daddy," successfully defended his heavyweight title -- which he earned last November in a battle with then-champion Evander Holyfield -- to drive his undefeated professional record to 33-0. The champ is also an Olympic and New York state Golden Gloves medalist.
Bignet U.S.A. Inc. is a growing developer and marketer of interactive-entertainment software for leading video-game hardware systems in North America. Headquartered in San Francisco, Bignet U.S.A. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Micronet Co. Ltd. of Sapporo, Japan.
