BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER, 'RESIDENT SALUTE' RETURNS TO DISNEYLAND THROUGH JUNE 30, 1994; $22 PASSPORT FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- One of Disneyland's most popular special offers, the "Resident Salute" reduced-price passport for Southern California residents (Zip Codes 90000 through 93599), will be available for an unprecedented eight-and-a-half-month period beginning Oct. 15.
Southern Californians -- traditionally Disneyland's most loyal and supportive audience -- are being offered Disneyland passports at the special price of $22, adults and children. The passports, good on the day of purchase only, will be sold at Disneyland ticket booths Oct. 15 through June 30, 1994, except Dec. 26 through 31. There is a limit of eight tickets per adult with valid identification: driver's license, utility bill, etc.
Of course, Disneyland passports will be available at the regular price -- $30 for adults, $24 for children age 3 through 11 -- to all guests from outside the Southern California area.
In announcing the program, Disneyland President Jack Lindquist noted, "This unprecedented commitment to our Southern California friends and neighbors is our way of showing our appreciation for their endorsement and support of Disneyland over the past 38 years. By greatly extending the period of availability of these special `Resident Salute' passports, we are providing an opportunity for Southern Californians to enjoy Disneyland attractions, shows and special events through the fall, winter, spring and early summer. This new extended `Resident Salute' program represents a new milestone in Disneyland's recognition of the importance of the Southern California market."
As always, Disneyland offers its nearly 65 attractions in eight themed lands throughout the "Resident Salute." (Since the "Salute" is traditionally offered during Disneyland's less crowded times, some attractions may be closed for regularly scheduled maintenance.) Highlights include the exciting new cartoon world, MICKEY'S TOONTOWN, as well as such popular favorites as Splash Mountain, Star Tours, Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. Beginning in mid-November, the magical special effects adventure FANTASMIC! will resume its presentation on Disneyland's Rivers of America whenever the Park is open late.
