BIG COUNTRY STUART'S SUICIDE; Missing star hanged in Hawaiian hotel room.
SCOTS rock star Stuart Adamson has killed himself in a hotel room.
The lead singer with '80s chart-toppers Big Country vanished from his home in the States following a split from wife Melanie six weeks ago.
His body was found yesterday in a hotel room in Hawaii.
He had hanged himself.
The star was known to have been depressed about the break-up with Melanie.
He was also failing in his battle to beat his long-term booze problem.
Police are treating the death as suicide and investigator Jimmy Annino said last night: "Cause of death was asphyxiation by hanging."
Adamson's close friend and manager Ian Grant said last night: "I just can't believe it. My heart goes out to his family.
