BI ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION

 BOULDER, Colo., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- BI Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: BIAC) the nation's leading provider of electronically monitored systems for corrections, today announced completion of their acquisition of Community Corrections Systems Inc., effective May 12, 1993. The acquisition was made with a combination of cash and BI stock, the amount of which was not disclosed.
 Community Corrections Systems of Nashville, Ind., develops, sells and maintains software in the community corrections marketplace, having numerous customer software accounts throughout the Midwest.
 BI has identified a significant need for the development and delivery of software for use in community corrections applications, and this acquisition is a step toward meeting this demand. "This acquisition allows BI to rapidly expand our systems development and integration activities in response to growing needs within the corrections market," said David M. Page, BI's vice president of business development.
