BG&E PRESENTS $15 MILLION TAX CHECK TO CALVERT COUNTY

 BALTIMORE, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (NYSE: BGE) Tuesday paid $15,712,509.48 in Operating Property and Capital Stock Taxes to Calvert County for the fiscal year 1993-94, which ends June 30, 1994.
 The bulk of the utility's payment covers BG&E facilities in Calvert County, including the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant and other buildings, substations, poles and lines. The balance of the payment represents the county's share of capital stock taxes that BG&E pays to all Maryland political jurisdictions where residents own the utility's stock.
 John C. Smith, BG&E county affairs representative, presented the tax payment check to the Calvert County Commissioners prior to Tuesday's meeting in the county courthouse in Prince Frederick.
 BG&E is the county's largest employer and largest taxpayer, with more than 1,700 full-time employees at Calvert Cliffs.
