 BG&E ANNOUNCES REDEMPTION OF FIRST REFUNDING MORTGAGE BONDS
 BALTIMORE, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (NYSE: BGE) announced today the redemption of its 8 1/4 percent Series due Sept. 15, 1999 First Refunding Mortgage Bonds and its 8 5/8 percent Series due Sept. 15, 2000 First Refunding Mortgage Bonds.
 These redemptions will be made by Bankers Trust Company, Trustee, pursuant to the provisions of the Indenture. The 8 1/4 percent Series due Sept. 15, 1999 First Refunding Mortgage Bonds and the 8 5/8 percent Series due Sept. 15, 2000 First Refunding Mortgage Bonds will be redeemed on Sept. 28, 1992 at 101.94 percent and 102.28 percent of principal, respectively, plus accrued interest from Sept. 15, 1992 to, but not including, Sept. 28, 1992.
 The transfer books for both series of First Refunding Mortgage Bonds will not be closed prior to the redemption date, but will be closed permanently at the opening of business on Sept. 28, 1992.
 Bondholders will receive a Notice of Redemption which will be mailed to them on or about Aug. 27, 1992. Bonds may be presented in person to Bankers Trust Company, Corporate Trust and Agency Group, Security Processing Services Division, at 123 Washington Street, Receipt and Delivery, 1st Floor, New York, New York 10006 or by mail to Bankers Trust Company, Corporate Trust and Agency Group, Security Processing Services Division, Post Office Box 2579, Church Street Station, New York, New York 10008. Bonds may also be presented in person to Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company, Corporate Trust Department, 2 Hopkins Plaza - G Level, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 or by mail to Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company, Corporate Trust Department, Post Office Box 2258, Baltimore, Maryland 21203.
