 BFI ANNOUNCES FIRST FACILITY OF ITS KIND IN NORTH AMERICA;
 THE RECYCLERY AT MALL OF AMERICA OPENS NOV. 12
 WHAT: Browning-Ferris Industries, the official environmental services company of Mall of America, announces the grand opening of the Recyclery(TM) -- the first facility of its kind to service a single major complex. The Recyclery is an in-house materials recovery facility designed to separate and recover at least 50 percent of the recyclable materials generated by retailers and patrons in the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the country.

 WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 12, 1992, 9:30 a.m.
 WHERE: The Recyclery at Mall of America: Register in BFI's RecycleNOW(TM) Center, Level Three, West Market. Registrants will be escorted to the Recyclery in the service level.
 To Mall of America: I-494 to Cedar Avenue/Highway 77 South, exit 81st Street or Killebrew Drive to the West parking ramp (follow signs). Park in level four of the west ramp, adjacent to level three of the mall. Parking attendants will guide the way.
 DETAILS:
 -- The Recyclery enables recycling of at least 50 percent of the waste produced by tenants and patrons of Mall of America.
 -- The Recyclery employs disabled workers from Opportunity Workshop.
 -- The RecycleNOW Center storefront located on the third level of West Market showcases the recycling process with the help of materials from the Recyclery.
 -- The RecycleNOW Center contains educational displays directed at helping visitors understand the mall's environmental waste messages.
 -- The RecycleNOW Center was built using recycled and environmentally friendly building materials.
