BF GOODRICH TIRES TO SPONSOR MEDIA CENTER AT NEW YORK AUTO SHOW
NEW YORK, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- BF Goodrich Tires will sponsor the media center at this year's New York International Automobile Show, the nation's largest automotive exhibition both in terms of cars and trucks on display as well as number of visitors.
Some 1,500 members of the media are expected to pass through the portals of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, beginning with the April 15 press preview, and continuing April 18-26 during the public portion of the show.
"We are proud to be associated with the New York show, the country's oldest and, with more than one million visitors, the largest automotive exhibition," said Ronald J. Caporossi, vice president, business management, BF Goodrich Tires. "We will work with the show's organizers to ensure the media center is just that: a place for the press to work and report on the activities during the show."
This year's media center will be tailored to the needs of all working press. Available for their use will be computers, printers, fax machines, typewriters and telephones.
In addition, the media center will have areas set aside for interviews as well as for press kits and press releases. To assist both the media attending the show as well as those outside New York, PR Newswire will again have representatives on hand in the media center.
The press preview begins Wednesday, April 15, with the annual International Motor Press Association Auto Show breakfast. Lee A. Iacocca, Chrysler Corporation chairman, will be IMPA's featured speaker at the breakfast.
The preview, with press conferences and special events, like the first International Design Symposium, continues through the morning of Friday, April 17.
Journalists interested in information about the show, which features some 1,200 cars and trucks from approximately 40 manufactures, or in need of credentials should contact Stuart Schorr at 212-315-4900 (fax: 212-315-4903).
