BEYOND ADDS NEW INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS POST
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Beyond Incorporated,

a leading enterprise-wide e-mail and workgroup applications vendor, today announced two developments that will significantly broaden sales and marketing activities in international markets. Beyond announced that it has created a new post to support international sales activities, appointing Thom Fraser as the new director of international operations. The company also announced that it has selected European Software Publishing Limited (ESP) as its exclusive distributor for Beyond products in the United Kingdom.
"We developed BeyondMail with the interest of international and multinational corporations in mind," said Charles Digate, president and the CEO of Beyond. "The appointment of Thom to director of international operations and the agreement with ESP will enable us to provide the highest levels of service and support to meet the needs of multinational corporations while greatly expanding our market focus," said Digate.
Fraser will move from director of sales, a position he held for 18 months, to the newly formed position of director of international operations. Fraser was formerly with Peter Norton Computing, Inc., as manager, Eastern operations. Prior to Norton, Fraser spent over five years with Lotus Development Corporation in a variety of corporate account sales, sales management and sales planning positions in New York, Philadelphia and London. In his new position, Fraser will manage distribution partners around the world while fostering relationships with multinational corporations.
Effective immediately, ESP is publishing Beyond's flagship enterprise-wide-e-mail system, BeyondMail, and its Forms Designer, an add-on product for building customized forms. Unlike other e-mail systems, BeyondMail incorporates rules technology for building personal and workgroup applications.
"The U.K. is witnessing tremendous growth in the e-mail and PC LAN market and we expect this to accelerate in the coming years," said Michael Skok, chairman of ESP. "We believe that BeyondMail will lead the way forward in this exceptionally high growth market due to ease of use, communications capabilities and range of powerful development tools."
BeyondMail runs on NetWare, IBM PC LAN, 3Com and 3+Share, Banyan VINES and Microsoft LAN Manager networks and is priced at $995, for a 10-user license.
Beyond Incorporated, based in Cambridge, Mass., is the leading developer of enterprise-wide, e-mail software that delivers advanced workgroup application functionality. Privately held Beyond has regional offices throughout North America as well as a network of international distributors.
