WIDOWMAKER Widowmaker (Angel Air) ? ELO and Widowmaker, for some years, both had the same manager - the infamous Don Arden, father of Sharon Osbourne. So the two bands often worked together.

Widowmaker were formed in 1976 and comprised a stellar quintet of rock musicians - Steve Ellis from Love Affair, Ariel Bender from Spooky Tooth, Paul Nicholls from Lindisfarne, Bob Daisley from Chicken Shack and Hugh Lloyd Langton from Hawkwind.

This fine outfit only ever made this one album, now released on CD for the first time with three bonus live tracks added, The CD is dedicated to Hugh Lloyd Langton, who sadly died of cancer shortly before last Christmas, at the age of 61.

COLIN RAYE Extremes / I Think About You (SPV) ? LIKE mega million-selling country singer-songwriter Garth Brooks, Texan Colin Raye can rock it out with the best of them or belt out plaintive ballads.

These two mid-nineties albums, here on one CD, include the driving That's My Story, Sweet Misbehavin' and My Kind Of Girl, the big tear-jerking ballads Little Rock, If I Were You and One Boy One Girl, and the thought-provoking What If Jesus Comes Back Like That? If you like Garth Brooks, you'll like Colin Raye.

He and his fine band of Nashville cats are well worth a listen.

Highly recommended.
